Well, today was the best and the worst of Monday’s. It started out with the most manic Monday horror.

It was unusually busy at work, and after two hours of long lines, I went to fill the soda machine with ice. And tripped, spilling ice every where. But that is not all. I pushed my self up and continued to the machine, hoisted the 5 gallon bucket of ice to my shoulders….. and forgot the lid was still on the machine.

Ice flew everywhere.

So half of the Subway lobby got an ice bath, in the middle of a rush hour. With not enough workers. So instead of helping out like I should have been. I got to mop the store. With an audience.

Sigh.

But I must say. God is good, he gives me the best customers. They are so friendly and supportive. One couple pulled me aside and said, “You handled that situation with grace and charm. The signs of a good leader.”

Awe, how sweet. And then he tipped me. :D But the tip doesn’t really matter. It was what he said that meant the most. Speaking of tips on Saturday I got two lotto tickets and today I got a little sparkly purple lizard. My favorite color. :D

Not only that but I have such a sweetheart of a guy to call my own. Stopped by work on his way home to bring me dark chocolate. XD Way to make a girls day.

Praise the Lord.

Life is never dull with Him in my life.

Night and day blend and meet,
Even as the sky grows cold,
Warmth and heat wrap around,
Covering every inch,
Seeping to my heart.
Conversations whispered,
Half implied, half still spoken,
Alone and yet together,
Comrades and more.
Stories flick across the screen,
As stillness breaths, quiet alive,
As they start to tie,
Person to person, as each one claims,
O, what a glorious time,
When night and day blend.

In you, I do believe
Your very soul shines
Behind gentle eyes
Utter truth is etched
In your every move

Beauty

What am I?
In only one word?

Not a question to be settled-
with a glance into the mirror.
More than flesh and blood,
More than atoms and cells.

Just a gaze past color changing eyes,
That dip and roar with joy and life,
Lips with a smile that easily grows
And skin covered with kisses from above.

What am I?
In only one word?

A single verb to describe,
All in all, only me-
Beauty of heart and soul
Tied up with flesh and blood.

Confession 351

I used to be pretty.

Then I stopped looking in the mirror and stopped caring.

That’s when I became BEAUTIFUL, no matter how I looked.

Fading away like a dream half lived,
The night’s adventures twinkle out
Like morning stars,
Music bumping, tail lights ‘lluminating,
Weaving to and fro
Up and down and all around,
Many paths unseen; unknown
Taken with out a second thought
Above the world, yet under heaven
New sights and steps thrill the mind
While new friendships we do make
Cups of coco bond and warm,
Just to go on, all over again
In the dark, screen’s flashing
Show all Sherlock’s love.
Looking back, as morning rises,
This night was better than a dream.
